    About Us

Winnipeg Phoenix Football Club (WPFC), also known as Winnipeg Phoenix FC, is a non-profit youth soccer organisation based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Established in 2003 as Phoenix Soccer Inc., the club was created to provide organised soccer programmes for residents of northeast Winnipeg and the surrounding communities, including Oakbank. It operates as a non-share capital corporation registered in Manitoba and is governed by a volunteer executive board of directors. The club is a Canada Soccer Certified Quality Soccer Provider and focuses on providing structured football development opportunities for children and young people. WPFC offers soccer programmes for players aged 4 to 17, covering introductory, grassroots, recreational, developmental and competitive levels. Its younger-age programmes introduce children to the fundamentals of football through age-appropriate activities, technical exercises and small-sided games. For older players, the club provides developmental and premier team pathways that focus on individual player improvement within a team environment. Its U11–U12 developmental teams and U13–U17 premier teams participate in competitions sanctioned by the Manitoba Soccer Association and organised through the Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association. The club places emphasis on long-term player development, qualified coaching, technical education, teamwork, sportsmanship and creating a safe and inclusive sporting environment. Its coaching staff follow a club development curriculum and receive support from experienced technical personnel. WPFC is based at Anderson Park, located at 900 Raleigh Street in northeast Winnipeg. The facility includes a multi-field soccer complex and clubhouse, providing a dedicated location for training, introductory programmes and club activities. The organisation also delivers seasonal soccer academies, camps, clinics, indoor programmes and futsal opportunities. Its activities are supported by coaches, technical staff, administrative personnel, volunteers, parents and community partners. Winnipeg Phoenix FC works with local community clubs and regional football organisations to expand participation and provide development opportunities. The club aims to help players progress towards higher levels of football, including university, national and professional pathways, while promoting lifelong participation in the sport.
