SV Zulte Waregem, commonly known as Zulte Waregem or Essevee, is a Belgian professional football club based in Waregem, West Flanders. The club was established in 2001 through the merger of Zultse VV and KSV Waregem, bringing together football traditions from Zulte and Waregem under a new professional organisation. The club quickly achieved sporting success, winning promotion from the third tier to the second tier in its first season and then reaching Belgium's top division in 2005. Zulte Waregem made its Jupiler Pro League debut in the 2005–06 season and immediately impressed, finishing seventh and winning the Belgian Cup.
