South Clan Football Academy is a grassroots football development organisation based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Established in 2023, the academy focuses on developing young footballers and expanding access to structured football training across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It forms part of the wider South Clan Football ecosystem, which includes South Clan Football Academy for grassroots development, South Clan Football Club for professional football and South Clan Football Excellence Center for player and coach development. The academy primarily works with children and young players, with its current coaching programmes covering approximately ages 5 to 16. Its development philosophy emphasises practical, age-appropriate coaching rather than simply allowing children to participate in football sessions. Training sessions are designed around specific football skills, followed by regular practice matches and periodic assessment matches to evaluate player development. The academy operates across multiple locations in Hyderabad and the surrounding region and has also expanded its activities into Warangal. Its programmes are designed to provide opportunities for both boys and girls, with an emphasis on creating an inclusive grassroots football environment. South Clan also participates in talent identification and football-development initiatives beyond its regular academy sessions. In 2026, it became an execution partner for India Khelo Football’s Football Pratibha Veduka initiative in Telangana, a statewide talent-identification programme conducted in partnership with the Sports Authority of Telangana. Through this initiative, the academy contributes to identifying young football talent across multiple locations. South Clan also recruits and develops coaches, with preference for coaches holding AIFF or UEFA qualifications and experience working with children. The academy's broader objective is to contribute to the development of football in southern India by creating structured pathways from grassroots participation toward higher-level football opportunities. Its activities combine coaching, player assessment, scouting, trials, tournaments, leagues and youth development. By connecting grassroots training with wider talent-identification and development networks, South Clan Football Academy aims to create a sustainable pathway for young players to improve their technical abilities, football understanding, confidence, discipline and competitive experience.
