PSV Academy is the youth development system of PSV, the professional football club based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is responsible for identifying, educating and developing young footballers with the objective of preparing them for professional football and, ultimately, progression into PSV’s first team. The academy forms an integral part of PSV’s sporting structure and operates from PSV Campus De Herdgang, the club’s dedicated training complex in Eindhoven. The academy covers a wide range of age categories, from the youngest development groups through the older youth teams and PSV U21. Its current structure includes teams such as PSV U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U19 and U21, alongside girls’ youth teams. The academy combines football training with player development, education, performance support, coaching and scouting. PSV places particular importance on developing players within a consistent football philosophy so that talented youngsters can progress through the different age groups and eventually reach professional football. The academy also has an extensive regional development structure. In 2021, PSV integrated its former PSV FUNdament programme into the Academy, bringing the younger O10–O13 pathway fully into the academy structure. Younger players can initially develop at locations including Eindhoven, Gilze, Linne, Rosmalen and Nijmegen before selected players progress to the main academy environment at De Herdgang. The academy has a long-standing reputation for producing players who progress into professional football and national youth teams. During the 2024–25 season, PSV Academy recorded notable results across several age categories, including national championships for O19 and O17, while O19 also participated in the UEFA Youth League. For the 2026–27 season, the academy is led by Academy Director Aloys Wijnker, with Phillip Cocu as Elite Sports Manager and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink as Technical Manager. The organisation therefore combines elite youth football, education, scouting, coaching and long-term player development within PSV’s broader professional football structure
