About Us

Pro Touch Soccer Academy (PTSA) is a London-based, not-for-profit football and community development organisation dedicated to helping young people develop their sporting abilities, confidence and life skills through football. Established in 2006, the academy has developed programmes combining football coaching, personal development, inclusion and community engagement. Its mission is to create accessible opportunities for young people to participate in sport, improve their skills and build positive relationships in a supportive environment. The organisation works across multiple London boroughs and has provided sporting opportunities to young people from a wide range of backgrounds. Its programmes include academy football training, girls' and women's development sessions, specialist goalkeeping coaching, introductory football sessions for younger children, and football activities for adults with special educational needs and disabilities. Through these programmes, PTSA aims to make football welcoming to participants with different levels of experience and ability. The academy's coaching approach focuses on technical development, tactical awareness, game intelligence, teamwork, discipline, resilience and confidence. It also seeks to support participants beyond the pitch by encouraging leadership, communication, positive behaviour and personal ambition. PTSA provides development pathways for talented players who aspire to progress into competitive football, while maintaining community-based opportunities for those who participate primarily for enjoyment, fitness and social connection. The organisation reports that its programmes have reached thousands of young people and that players developed through its pathways have progressed to professional or schoolboy contracts with clubs. In addition to its football activities, PTSA works with schools, community groups, public bodies, funders and sporting partners to increase access to structured activities and create sustainable opportunities for young people. Its community-focused model reinvests resources into programmes and services intended to benefit participants and their families. The academy also emphasises safeguarding and the wellbeing of young people, seeking to provide safe, supportive environments led by coaches and staff who encourage positive development. Based in the York Way area of London, Pro Touch Soccer Academy combines football education with wider social objectives, using sport as a means of promoting equality, inclusion, confidence and community participation. Its long-term aim is to help young people fulfil their potential both in football and in their lives beyond the game.
