About Us

Landskrona BoIS, formally Landskrona Boll- och Idrottssällskap, is a historic Swedish football club based in Landskrona, Scania. Founded in 1915, the club is one of Sweden’s established football organisations and has a long association with the city and its sporting community. Landskrona BoIS was among the clubs participating in the first Allsvenskan season in 1924 and has accumulated 34 seasons in Sweden’s top division. The club also has a strong historical record in the second tier, where it leads the all-time marathon table. One of its most notable achievements came in 1972, when Landskrona BoIS won the Svenska Cupen. The club has also recorded an Allsvenskan silver medal in the 1937/38 season and bronze medals in 1938/39, 1975 and 1976. The men's first team currently competes in Superettan, Sweden’s second tier, while the organisation also operates women's football and an extensive youth and academy structure. Its football activities cover both competitive senior football and player development, with particular attention to developing young players from the local area. Landskrona BoIS also has a substantial community role through initiatives designed to involve children and young people in football and wider social activities. One example is Nattfotbollen, a free football initiative providing young people with a safe and positive environment during weekend evenings. The club also runs youth-development activities and regularly recruits coaches for its younger age groups. Landskrona BoIS plays its home matches at Landskrona IP, which serves as the club’s principal sporting venue. The organisation combines football, community engagement, commercial partnerships, entertainment and marketing activities while maintaining a strong local identity. Its black-and-white striped identity is closely associated with the club and its supporters. In its current structure, Landskrona BoIS continues to operate as a nonprofit organisation with professional football at its centre, alongside women's football, youth development and community-oriented programmes.
