    About Us

Hampshire Football Association (Hampshire FA) is the governing body for grassroots football across Hampshire, Bournemouth, and the Isle of Wight in England. Founded in 1887, it is one of the oldest County Football Associations affiliated with The Football Association (The FA). Headquartered at Winklebury Football Complex in Basingstoke, Hampshire FA is responsible for governing, developing, promoting, and safeguarding football across the county. The association supports hundreds of affiliated clubs, leagues, referees, coaches, volunteers, and tens of thousands of registered participants through a wide range of football programmes and services. Hampshire FA administers county cup competitions, club affiliation, discipline, safeguarding, referee development, coach education, equality and inclusion initiatives, and football facility development. The organisation also operates several football hubs and community facilities, including Winklebury Football Complex, Stoneham Lane Football Complex, Front Lawn Community Hub, and King George V Football Complex, helping to increase access to high-quality football facilities. Through partnerships with The FA, the Football Foundation, local authorities, schools, charities, and community organisations, Hampshire FA invests in grassroots participation, women's and girls' football, disability football, walking football, youth football, and recreational formats of the game. The association is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and accessible opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to participate in football. In addition to its governance role, Hampshire FA provides commercial partnerships, business networking opportunities, education programmes, and community engagement initiatives designed to strengthen football's social impact throughout the region. Guided by The FA's National Game Strategy, Hampshire FA continues to invest in workforce development, facility improvement, innovation, and sustainable growth while supporting football as a lifelong activity and a positive force within local communities.
