Go Ahead Eagles Football Academy is the youth-development and talent pathway of professional Dutch football club Go Ahead Eagles, based in Deventer, Netherlands. The academy develops young players with the objective of preparing them for the first-team environment at De Adelaarshorst. Its philosophy places the player at the centre of the development process, combining football development with personal growth in a safe, challenging and enjoyable environment. The academy works closely with partner clubs, parents, coaches and specialists to support players throughout their development. The academy currently operates a structured youth programme covering multiple age groups, including Under-21, Under-19, Under-17, Under-15, Under-14 and Under-13, alongside girls' Under-17 and Under-16 teams. It also operates pre-academy and regional development programmes designed to identify and support emerging talent. The academy has developed a multidisciplinary structure involving head coaches, assistant coaches, goalkeeper coaches, performance trainers, physiotherapists, team managers, sport-science specialists, mental-resilience professionals and scouting staff. For the 2025/26 season, Martijn Jongbloed became Head of Youth Development, while Marcel Borkent oversees scouting, the Pre-Academy and Regional Academy. The academy also maintains relationships with numerous amateur clubs in the surrounding region, supporting talent identification, coach education, knowledge exchange and youth-football development. In 2026, several academy players joined the first-team training group during the club's preparation for the 2026/27 season, demonstrating the academy's role as a pathway toward senior professional football. Beyond its formal youth teams, Go Ahead Eagles provides talent days, football camps and additional development opportunities for young players. The academy also has a dedicated sponsorship programme through Future Eagle, which supports activities such as international tournaments, training camps, team-building and development resources. Overall, the Go Ahead Eagles Football Academy combines elite youth football, player development, education, scouting and regional cooperation, with its long-term objective centred on developing players capable of progressing into the professional environment of Go Ahead Eagles.
