Football NSW is the governing body for association football (soccer) and futsal across New South Wales, except for the northern regions of the state, which are governed by Northern NSW Football. It is a Member Federation of Football Australia and is responsible for governing, developing and promoting football throughout its jurisdiction. Its stated aim is to grow, develop and promote the game by supporting clubs, associations, players, coaches, referees, volunteers and other football stakeholders through effective governance, leadership and professional administration. It also operates several elite semi-professional competitions below the A-Leagues, including the National Premier Leagues NSW and other statewide competitions.
