About Us

Feyenoord is a professional football club based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and one of the country’s most prominent football institutions. Founded on 19 July 1908, the club has developed a strong identity rooted in Rotterdam’s working-class heritage, local pride, passionate supporters, and a distinctive “no words, but actions” mentality. Feyenoord competes in Dutch professional football and is widely recognised for its traditional red-and-white home shirt, black shorts, and iconic crest.

The club plays its home matches at Stadion Feijenoord, commonly known as De Kuip, a historic football stadium in Rotterdam. De Kuip is closely associated with Feyenoord’s sporting achievements and is renowned for its atmosphere during major domestic and European matches. The club has won multiple Dutch league championships, KNVB Cups, and major international trophies, including the European Cup in 1970 and the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 2002.

Feyenoord’s activities extend beyond its men’s first team. The organisation operates a youth academy that focuses on identifying and developing young football talent, with pathways towards professional football. Its wider sporting structure includes women’s football and youth teams, supported by coaching, scouting, performance analysis, medical services, and player development programmes.

The club also has a substantial commercial operation, including sponsorships, hospitality, ticketing, merchandising, international partnerships, and business networking through the Feyenoord Business Club. Through the Feyenoord Foundation and related community initiatives, it supports projects that use sport to encourage participation, inclusion, education, and positive social development in Rotterdam.

Feyenoord combines its historic sporting traditions with a modern professional organisation focused on competitive success, talent development, commercial growth, and community involvement. Its strong local identity and international profile make it an important institution in Dutch football.
