    About Us

Estoril Praia - Futebol, SAD is the professional football organisation associated with Estoril Praia, based in Estoril, Cascais, Portugal. The club's origins date to 17 May 1939, when the Grupo Desportivo Estoril-Plage was established, while its football section was created in 1940. The professional football operation is organised as a Sociedade Anónima Desportiva (SAD), responsible for the club's professional football activities. Estoril Praia competes in Portugal's top-level professional football system and plays its home matches at the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota in Estoril. The club has a long history in Portuguese football, including several periods in the top division and successful campaigns in the second tier. It achieved consecutive promotions and championship titles in 2002/03 and 2003/04, returning to the Primeira Divisão. One of the most significant periods in its modern history came in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons, when Estoril achieved European qualification and subsequently participated in the UEFA Europa League group stage in two consecutive seasons. The organisation maintains a strong emphasis on football development and operates men's senior football, women's football, B team and youth teams, including Under-19 and Under-17 structures. Estoril Praia also has a broader sporting identity through several additional sports and community activities operated by the wider club. The club's traditional colours are yellow and blue, reflecting its connection to the sun and sea of the Estoril region. Its professional football structure is supported by commercial, marketing, communications and sporting departments, while the wider organisation maintains educational, community and development activities. Estoril Praia's headquarters and professional operations are based in Estoril, within the municipality of Cascais, and the club remains closely connected to the local community and the wider Lisbon region.
