Corpus Christi FC, also known as CCFC or The Sharks, is a professional soccer club based in Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. Established in 2017 by Dr. Kingsley Okonkwo, the club was created to bring organised professional-level soccer to the Coastal Bend region of South Texas. It began competitive participation in 2018 in the USL Premier Development League, which later became USL League Two. The club subsequently earned a USL League One franchise in 2024 and began its first professional season in 2026. Corpus Christi FC's men's first team competes in USL League One, the third tier of the United States soccer league system. The club previously achieved its first Lone Star Division title in 2024 while competing in USL League Two. For the 2026 season, its home matches are being played at Cabaniss Athletic Complex, located at 3202 Cabaniss Parkway, Corpus Christi, Texas, while construction continues on its permanent stadium. The planned 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium forms part of the Corpus Christi Sports Complex project on Old Brownsville Road. The organisation also operates Corpus Christi FC Academy, established in 2019, to identify and develop young football talent across the Coastal Bend region. Its academy offers programmes for different age groups, including early development, junior premier and premier-level training, alongside college-placement support. The club's mission includes developing players on and off the field, creating pathways towards professional football and strengthening community participation through sport. Its activities include professional team operations, youth development, coaching, scouting, commercial partnerships, fan engagement and community initiatives. The club also works with local businesses, educational institutions and sporting organisations to expand soccer opportunities in the region. Through its professional team, academy and community-focused approach, Corpus Christi FC aims to establish a lasting football presence in South Texas.
