

Cascais SAD is the professional football organisation representing Clube Sportivo de Cascais in Cascais, Portugal. The professional football entity was established in 2022 as Grupo Dramático e Sportivo de Cascais – Futebol, SAD, in association with the historic Grupo Dramático e Sportivo de Cascais and 1915 Sports Ventures. In November 2024, the SAD was acquired by Dutch venture studio ve2ventures, which subsequently incorporated the project into its Estrella Football Group. In September 2025, the professional football division adopted the name Clube Sportivo de Cascais and introduced a new visual identity, while preserving the heritage of the founding multi-sport organisation. The wider GDS Cascais has roots dating back to 1915 and has a long sporting presence in the Cascais community. The professional football project focuses on developing the club competitively while strengthening its relationship with the local community. During the 2025/26 season, Cascais achieved an undefeated league campaign, won its division and secured promotion to the Associação de Futebol de Lisboa 1ª Divisão. The club’s U19 side also won its league and earned promotion to national-level competition. For the 2026/27 season, the first team competes in the AF Lisboa 1ª Divisão. Cascais SAD operates senior and youth football structures and places emphasis on player development, community engagement, commercial partnerships and modern football operations. The organisation has also expanded its matchday and fan-engagement activities, including digital ticketing and partnerships with commercial and technology companies. Its home environment is centred around the Pavilhão Guilherme Pinto Basto area in Cascais, linking the professional football project closely with the municipality and its sporting community. The club’s stated identity is strongly connected to Cascais, with the philosophy expressed through the motto “Our Town. Our Club.”
