    About Us

Capalaba Football Club, commonly known as the Capalaba Bulldogs, is a football organisation based in Capalaba, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1972, the club has developed from a local community football organisation into a comprehensive football club providing opportunities for players from early childhood through senior and elite competition. Capalaba FC is based at John Fredericks Park on Old Cleveland Road and operates multiple football fields, a licensed clubhouse, canteen, merchandise shop and other community facilities. The club caters for players across a broad range of ages and abilities, including Kick-off programmes for younger children, MiniRoos, junior football, senior men's and women's football, Masters and Legends competitions. At the elite level, Capalaba participates in Football Queensland competitions, including the Football Queensland Premier League and National Premier Leagues Women's structures. The club also operates an FQ Academy programme focused on long-term player development. Its academy pathway includes boys' teams from younger age groups through U18 and U23 development, as well as junior girls' teams. The programme incorporates qualified coaching, player assessments, match analysis, sports science, physiotherapy, nutrition and high-performance support. Capalaba's development philosophy places significant emphasis on improving players both on and off the field and creating a pathway from junior football into senior competition. The club also maintains a strong commitment to women's and girls' football, with dedicated development programmes and coaching structures. In 2026, Capalaba retained its Silver Academy status, reflecting the club's continuing investment in its youth-development environment. Beyond competitive football, Capalaba FC has an important community role, providing football opportunities for people of different ages and skill levels and promoting an inclusive environment. The club's stated values are represented through the “Brave. Proud. Fierce.” identity of the Bulldogs. Its activities combine grassroots participation, elite player development, senior football, women's football, youth pathways, community engagement and sporting facilities. Capalaba FC therefore serves both as a local community football club and as a development pathway for players seeking higher-level football opportunities in Queensland.
