Associação Desportiva Bobadelense, commonly known as AD Bobadelense, is a community-based sports association located in Bobadela, in the municipality of Loures, Lisbon District, Portugal. Founded on 15 March 1975, the club has developed a strong connection with the local community through football, youth development and other sporting activities. Its mission is to promote sport, social participation, cultural activities and recreation while encouraging personal development, teamwork and community engagement. Football is its principal sporting activity, supported by youth teams and senior football. The organisation aims to provide athletes with structured training delivered by qualified coaches, using a multidisciplinary development programme adapted to different age groups and levels of ability. Its philosophy places importance on making football accessible to young people regardless of gender or ability, while supporting physical wellbeing, discipline, respect, social integration and the development of responsible citizens. The club promotes values such as teamwork, ambition, humility, solidarity, honesty, responsibility, tolerance, resilience and fair play. Beyond competition, AD Bobadelense seeks to create a positive environment for athletes and families and to strengthen its role as a meeting point for the Bobadela community. It has also received recognition for its work in sports ethics and inclusion, including initiatives supporting children and young people from disadvantaged families. The club has pursued cooperation with other football organisations to improve player development and share knowledge. In July 2024, Sporting Clube de Portugal announced a cooperation agreement with AD Bobadelense intended to support youth development, talent identification and the potential implementation of a Sporting academy project in collaboration with the club. AD Bobadelense is based at the Estádio Municipal da Bobadela and continues to develop its football structure, community partnerships and sporting operations. Its guiding motto, “Juntos somos mais fortes” (“Together we are stronger”), reflects its emphasis on collective effort, community identity and long-term development.
