Description
We’re seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and proactive Sports Rehabilitator to join our First Team Medical & Performance Department. Working closely with the First Team Coaching Staff, you will play an important role in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, whilst contributing to the overall physical preparation and availability of the first-team squad.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner looking to gain experience within senior football and develop within a professional multidisciplinary team.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality medical and rehabilitation services to the First Team squad throughout the season.
The role requires attendance at first-team training sessions, home and away fixtures, and occasional additional rehabilitation sessions. You will assist with injury management, pitch-side cover, player monitoring and return-to-play planning whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality and player welfare.
Working closely with the First Team Coaching Staff, you will contribute to creating an environment where players can consistently perform at their highest level.

Key Responsibilities
Medical & Rehabilitation
• Assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic injuries.
• Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes appropriate to the stage of tissue healing and player demands.
• Support injured players through progressive return-to-training and return-to-play pathways.
• Deliver gym-based and pitch-based rehabilitation sessions.
• Injury prevention strategies and movement preparation programmes.
• Monitor player responses to rehabilitation and adapt programmes accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Communicate player progress with coaching staff and the multidisciplinary team.
Matchday Responsibilities
• Provide pitch-side medical support during all first-team fixtures.
• Emergency injury management in accordance with FA and league regulations.
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment and emergency bags.
• Support player recovery protocols following matches.
Training Ground Responsibilities
• Assist with daily player screening and monitoring.
• Deliver soft tissue treatments where appropriate.
• Prepare players for training through activation and movement preparation.
• Assist with recovery strategies including mobility, regeneration and load management.
• Support GPS, wellness or player monitoring systems where required.
Professional Standards
• Maintain appropriate CPD and evidence-based clinical practice.
• Work within BASRaT standards of professional conduct.
• Promote player welfare, safeguarding and confidentiality at all times.
• Represent Radcliffe Football Club professionally both internally and externally.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
• BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Rehabilitation.
• Current BASRaT registration.
• FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF),
• Valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
• Excellent understanding of musculoskeletal injury assessment and rehabilitation.
• Strong knowledge of exercise prescription and return-to-play principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• High standards of organisation, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to transport.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will also have:
• Previous experience within elite, academy, semi-professional or professional football.
• Experience delivering pitch-based rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of strength & conditioning principles.
• Experience with GPS monitoring systems.
• Soft tissue therapy or sports massage qualification.
• Experience working in fast-paced sporting environments.
• Understanding of current evidence-based football medicine practices.
• Additional trauma or emergency medical qualifications.
• Membership of relevant professional organisations.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
