Volunteer Kit Assistant

Location: Notts County Football Club, Meadow Lane Stadium

Commitment: Flexible and varied with weekday, evening and weekend availability

Ever wanted to experience life behind the scenes at a professional football club? We're looking for committed Volunteer Kit Assistants to support the First Team Kit Department. You'll play an important role in ensuring the squad has everything it needs for training and matchdays, becoming part of the team that helps the players perform at their best.

About the Role

Notts County Football Club is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Volunteer Kit Assistants to support our Kit Department. This role focuses on helping with the laundering and care of the Club's training and match kit, ensuring clothing and equipment is cleaned, dried, folded and prepared to the high standards expected within a professional football environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a football club behind the scenes, takes pride in their work, and wants to make a valuable contribution to the day-to-day running of the First Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry and care for first team training and match kit.
  • Operate commercial washing and drying equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Fold, organise and prepare cleaned kit ready for use.
  • Keep the laundry area clean, tidy and hygienic.
  • Monitor laundry supplies and notify the Kit Manager when stock is running low.
  • Report any damaged or worn kit that may require replacement.
  • Follow Club procedures for handling specialist sports clothing and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Essential:

  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
  • Organised and able to work independently.
  • Able to pay close attention to detail.
  • Comfortable undertaking manual handling tasks, including moving laundry loads.
  • Flexible and willing to volunteer on agreed days as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in laundry, housekeeping or a sporting environment.
  • An understanding of specialist sportswear and performance clothing.
