Description

About the Ticket Office Team:

The Ticket Office Team at SAFC are all about making the fan's experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

We are the friendly faces behind the scenes, dedicated to ensuring fans can easily access tickets for all our exciting matches and events.

Our team works diligently to manage ticket sales, handle inquiries, and provide support to fans, whether it’s through our online platform or in-person at the stadium.

We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, always ready to assist fans with any questions or concerns.

The Opportunity:

This is a pivotal opportunity to lead Sunderland AFC’s Ticketing operation and shape how supporters experience the Club across Men’s and Women’s fixtures, as well as events at the Stadium of Light.

As Head of Ticketing, you will set the strategic direction for ticketing, lead a skilled team and drive commercial performance through pricing, inventory, technology and outstanding customer journeys. You will lead the day-to-day ticketing operation, develop and motivate the team, and use data, supporter feedback and market insight to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Working closely with Commercial, Marketing and Stadium Operations colleagues, you will help maximise attendance, revenue and the matchday experience. You will also build strong relationships with supporter groups, partners, leagues and external suppliers, while improving ticketing systems, processes and digital journeys across the Club.

What We Ask For:

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded ticketing leader with proven sales experience in sports or event ticketing. You will bring strong commercial and analytical skills, including pricing, forecasting, revenue planning and preparing business cases.

You will have experience of leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, alongside a strong understanding of ticketing, CRM and customer service systems. You will be confident managing technology partners, suppliers and significant operational projects, with excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

A clear understanding of supporter experience is essential, as is the ability to balance commercial performance with excellent service. You will also be highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

A Enhanced DBS from Sunderland AFC is required.
