Description

JOB TITLE:   Part Time Classroom Teacher

RESPONSIBLE TO:   Head of Education & Welfare

Hours of Work: Tuesday and Friday only. 4 hours per day  10:30am – 2:30pm

INDIRECT REPORTS:   Academy Players  (12 -16 years) during contact classroom time.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Middlesbrough Football Club’s Category 1 Academy as a Part Time Classroom Teacher. The main purpose of the role is to provide classroom support through computer-based learning, offering subject expertise in Math’s, English and Information Technology, along with broad GCSE subject knowledge for young people aged 12–16.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Support the Head of Education & Welfare in delivering educational support and development for young people aged 12–16 who attend the academy’s hybrid education model.
  • Oversee the academic progress and development of young people aged 12–16 who attend the academy’s hybrid training model.
  • Provide regular feedback on progress and target achievement to students, schools, and parents through the academy’s electronic diary/reporting system.
  • Attend relevant education and academy meetings as directed by the Head of Education & Welfare.
  • Complete 10 hours of relevant CPD or industry updating.
  • Maintain a current DBS check and comply with all safeguarding regulations and protocols.

 

About The Candidate

CANDIDATES SHOULD:

  • The post holder must have at least five years’ teaching experience, particularly in Mathematics and/or English.
  • The post holder must hold a valid first aid certificate.
  • Hold a clean driving licence, including D2 entitlement, or hold a minibus licence.
  • This role is subject to completion of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
