Description

The Role

We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator on a casual basis to join us and take ownership of the preparation and running of our facilities at Emirates Stadium.

The department areas include property and facilities management, spectator safety at events and wider health and safety matters, which you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting. You will also be working across wider facilities at other locations for all events and functions across the club.

Casual Roles

Working with our club on a Casual basis offers a flexible and short-term arrangement. Unlike full-time roles, shifts are scheduled based on both on our needs and your availability. These shifts may include matchdays, evenings, weekends, and events.

Who we are

We are one of the most famous clubs in world football, with a rich heritage and history of success

Beyond that, we are passionate about our local community and, behind the scenes, we have a wide variety of opportunities and career paths for all. We have a very defined purpose: to act for a winning team, culture and community. We achieve this by ensuring we are courageous in the pursuit of progress, we champion our community and each other, and that we do the right thing (even when no one is looking).

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We are committed to ensuring that our environments for children, young people and adults at risk remain safe and inclusive. We therefore require successful candidates to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks prior to starting their employment. Depending on the responsibilities of the role, a DBS will be either a basic, standard, or enhanced check.

Your day-to-day

  • Support stadium infrastructure changes - you’ll assist with the removal and installation of segregation barriers and internal walls, ensuring layouts are in place to accommodate visiting supporters and matchday requirements
  • Deliver signage across the site - you will support the installation of local street signage in line with council requirements and help provide high-quality signage solutions for internal requests
  • Assist with crowd management preparations - you’ll support the setup, positioning and removal of barriers, netting, and other equipment to facilitate safe crowd movement and matchday operations
  • Maintain stadium facilities - you will carry out repairs and replacements to seating, signage, and other stadium assets, helping to meet health and safety standards and operational requirements
  • Support delivery operations - you’ll assist with receiving, checking, and distributing deliveries across the stadium, ensuring items are routed to the correct locations efficiently
  • Contribute to matchday readiness - you will support pre-match checklists, carry out stadium inspections, report maintenance issues, and assist with the setup of warm-up areas and dressing rooms
  • Provide administrative support - you’ll assist with a range of ad hoc administrative tasks to support the efficient running of the facilities operation
  • Assist with site logistics - you will support day-to-day logistics across the stadium, including the safe operation of buggies, while helping to maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment
  • Build effective working relationships - you’ll liaise with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, visiting teams, and other stakeholders to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility and matchday activities

What we are looking for

  • Hold valid licences and up to date certifications - you obtain a valid UK driving licence and basic health and safety training
  • Background in a facilities environment -you have experience working in a facilities-based role, ideally in a supporting function
  • Highly effective multi-tasker - you carry out a range of maintenance tasks to a high standard, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident and clear communicator -you are able to work with a range of colleagues and external companies and adapt your approach as necessary
  • Flexiblity -you are available to work evenings and weekends as required, with a proactive and adaptable approach
