TheRole
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and player-focused coach to join our Boys Talent Pathway coaching team. The successful candidate will play a key role in coaching and developing players within our Boys Talent Pathway, supporting training sessions, match days, talent identification activities, and player development programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic football coach who is committed to developing young players and contributing to a positive, high-performance learning environment.
KeyResponsibilities
- Deliver high-quality coaching across technical, tactical, physical, psychological,andsocialdevelopment.
- Plan,deliver,andreviewsessionsinlinewiththePathwayphilosophy.
- CoachMonday&Wednesdayeveningsandsupportmatchdays.
- Driveplayerdevelopment,progression,andassessments.
- SupporttalentID,recruitment,andplayertransitions.
- Embedaclearplayingidentityacrossthepathway.
- Buildstrongrelationshipswithplayers,parents,andstaff.
- WorkcloselywithcoachesandPathwayleadstoensureconsistency.
- Promotesafeguarding,welfare,andsafepracticeatalltimes.
- Followallgovernance,safeguarding,andoperationalprocesses.
- Completeaccurateadmin,records,andreporting.
- Supportcommunitysessionsandwiderrecruitmentactivity.
- Maintainequipmentandsupportsmoothdeliveryofprogramme.
- UndertakeadditionaldutiesinlinewithPathwayobjectives.
About You
Essential Criteria
- FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience coaching youth football.
- Strong understanding of player development for ages U7–U18+.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, reliable, proactive, and organised.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Understanding of football coaching programmes and governing body initiatives.
- Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and school holiday periods.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria
- UEFA C Licence.
- FA Safeguarding Children Qualification.
- Pitch-side First Aid Qualification (ideally ITMMIF).
- Evidence of attending relevant
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
