About The Role
Here at West Bromwich Albion Football Club we have an exciting opportunity to join our Academy Performance team as an Academy Sport Psychologist on an 6-month fixed term contract. The 6-month period for this role will be between September 2026 and March 2027.
The main Purpose of this role is to deliver our sport psychology programme for the academy with an emphasis on our U9-16s.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Experience of working in the elite sporting environment
- BSc in Sport Science, Psychology or related field
- To be on the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Register of Health and Care Professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player
- Positive attitude
- Desire to improve young athletes’ performance and welfare
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Highly organised and methodical approach to workload
- Confidential and diplomatic
- Right to Work in the UK
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in academy football
- Knowledge of LTAD frameworks
- Experience using PMA
- Knowledge of the EPPP requirements
- Full & clean UK driving license
