Stella Gotal has been appointed Head Coach of the Gibraltar Women's National Team, marking a major new chapter for both the team and Gotal herself. With immediate effect, the Croatian coach brings a decade of international experience spanning Europe and the Middle East, underscoring Gibraltar FA’s ambition to raise standards across all levels of women’s football.
Coaching Career and Qualifications
Gotal began her football journey as a player in Croatia’s Women’s Premier League, rapidly transitioning into coaching after earning her UEFA C Licence at just 18 years old. Her subsequent rise included Assistant Coach for Croatia U15 Women, progressive coaching roles in Croatia, and leading youth development in Saudi Arabia. In March 2025, she completed the coveted UEFA Pro Licence, further strengthening her credentials at the highest level. Gotal also holds a Master’s in Kinesiology from the University of Zagreb, reflecting her academic and practical expertise.
Her reputation is built on creating strong team cultures and inspiring future generations—a focus she has pledged to continue in Gibraltar. Her first matches in charge will be a friendly double header away in Andorra in October 2025.
