We are pleased to announce that Dimitris Kyriatzis has recently joined GK Icon Enfield as a goalkeeper coach after being headhunted as part of Jobs4football's
targeted recruitment. Dimitris brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach, having played professionally with Brentford FC and currently playing for non-league club Royston Town, as well as being an FA level 1 goalkeeper coach.
Dimitris' Journey
Dimitris started his football journey with Fulham and went on to sign a professional contract with Brentford FC. He trained and played with Brentford's B team, and occasionally trained with the first team. To gain more game time, Dimitris was sent on loan to other League teams such as Stevenage FC to play in the FA Youth Cup.
Now, Dimitris is excited to start his coaching career and believes that his playing experience will help him to be a better coach. He is passionate about teaching young players the art of goalkeeping and helping them to develop their skills.
GK Icon Enfield
GK Icon Enfield is a specialist goalkeeper coaching academy for children aged 6 to 15 years old of all abilities. They run innovative weekly sessions, holiday camps, team training and one-to-one coaching.
Their philosophy is to provide dedicated goalkeeper coaching, running 50 weeks of the year. They welcome all abilities and have connections with clubs from the Premier League. As seen on Sky Sports News, GK Icon Enfield is one of the best goalkeeper academies in the area.
Dimitris' Role
Dimitris' role as a goalkeeper coach at GK Icon Enfield is to teach young players the technical aspects of goalkeeping such as positioning, handling, shot stopping, and distribution. He will also work on the mental aspects of the game, such as confidence, decision making, and communication.
