About Us

VVV-Venlo is a Dutch professional football club based in Venlo, in the province of Limburg, Netherlands. The club was founded on 7 February 1903 and is one of the oldest professional football organisations in Dutch football. VVV stands for “Venlose Voetbal Vereniging,” reflecting the club’s origins in the city of Venlo. The club plays its home matches at De Koel, officially known in recent seasons as Seacon Stadion – De Koel –, located on Kaldenkerkerweg in Venlo. VVV-Venlo has a long history within Dutch professional football and has competed at both the highest and second levels of the national league system. One of the most notable achievements in the club’s history came in 1959, when VVV won the KNVB Cup, defeating ADO in the final. The club has also produced and developed several notable players who went on to achieve international recognition. Its historical identity is strongly connected with its Limburg roots and its yellow-and-black colours. The club continues to operate as a professional football organisation, combining first-team football with commercial, community and youth-development activities. VVV-Venlo maintains a dedicated youth academy that forms an important part of its sporting structure. The academy provides a pathway for young players from the surrounding region to develop within the club environment and potentially progress towards professional football. Current club communications show continued investment in youth development, including players moving from the academy into professional contracts with the first team. The club also operates a talent-development programme involving young players and regional coaches. Beyond football, VVV-Venlo has developed a substantial business and community network. Its activities include sponsorship, partnerships, business networking, hospitality, events, fan engagement and commercial services. The club’s organisational structure includes dedicated departments for football, commercial operations, supporters, marketing and communications, finance, facilities, youth development and hospitality. VVV-Venlo is headquartered at Kaldenkerkerweg 182, at De Koel, in Venlo. Its LinkedIn profile identifies the organisation as a spectator-sports company with 51–200 employees and headquarters in Venlo. The club’s official website confirms its current contact details and location, while its current communications demonstrate that VVV-Venlo remains an active professional football organisation with ongoing sporting, commercial and youth-development operations.
