    About Us

Valencia CF is a historic Spanish professional football club based in Valencia, in the Valencian Community. The club was founded on 18 March 1919 under the name Valencia Football Club and has developed into one of the most established football institutions in Spanish football. Since 1923, Valencia CF has played its home matches at Mestalla, one of Spain’s most historic football stadiums. The club’s official LinkedIn profile identifies Valencia CF as a centenary organisation with an internationally recognised identity and sporting history.

The club has enjoyed substantial domestic and European success. Its honours include six Spanish league championships, seven Copa del Rey titles, three UEFA Cup/Europa League titles, one European Cup Winners’ Cup and two UEFA Super Cups. Valencia also reached the UEFA Champions League final in consecutive seasons in 2000 and 2001. The club's history includes numerous internationally recognised players and managers, contributing to its position as one of the best-known football institutions in Spain.

Valencia CF operates a broad football structure encompassing its men's first team, women's football, youth development and the VCF Academy. The academy is a particularly important part of the organisation's identity. Valencia CF states that its academy has achieved worldwide recognition for talent development and is regarded as one of the most productive youth systems among clubs in Europe's five major leagues. Its training centre, the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna, is located in Paterna, just outside Valencia, and provides the infrastructure for the club's development programmes.

The club's main offices are located at Plaza del Valencia Club de Fútbol, 2, Valencia, while Mestalla is situated on Avenida de Suecia. Valencia CF is also currently involved in the development of the Nou Mestalla, the planned future home of the club. Official club communications describe the stadium project as an important ongoing infrastructure development.

Beyond sporting operations, Valencia CF maintains an extensive international commercial and digital presence. The club reported more than 16 million followers across nine social-media platforms in 2024, including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Its activities therefore extend beyond first-team competition into academy development, women's football, community engagement, international brand development, commercial partnerships and digital media.
