About Us

US Orléans Loiret Football (US Orléans) is a French professional football club based in Orléans, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Founded in 1976, the club has developed into an established football institution in the region, with men's, women's, academy and amateur football structures. The club's LinkedIn profile identifies Orléans as its headquarters, lists 11–50 employees and confirms 1976 as its foundation year. US Orléans has a notable history in French football. The club reached the Coupe de France final in 1980, where it faced AS Monaco. One of the most memorable moments in its history came in 1989, when Orléans defeated Paris Saint-Germain 4–0 at the Parc des Princes in the Coupe de France round of 16. The club was also recognised in 2009 as France's best amateur club for youth development. After periods in the lower divisions, US Orléans returned to Ligue 2 in 2016. During the 2018–19 Ligue 2 season, the club finished eighth, which it identifies as its best-ever finish in that division. The club currently operates from Stade de la Source, with its principal address at 7 Rue Beaumarchais, 45100 Orléans. The French Football Federation also identifies Stade de la Source as the club's home venue. Youth development is a significant component of US Orléans. The club operates the Groupama Académie and has historically placed considerable emphasis on developing young players. Its women's section is also an important part of the organisation and competes in France's second national women's division, while the wider club has hundreds of registered amateur players. US Orléans also maintains an extensive commercial and community network. Its current LinkedIn profile states that the club has 125 partners and provides hospitality services at Stade de la Source, with its hospitality area capable of accommodating up to 600 people on matchdays. Digital communication is another important part of the organisation. The club maintains official accounts across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms. In its own communications, US Orléans has described its digital strategy as an important way of strengthening relationships with supporters and reaching new audiences. The club's current official website is orleansloiretfoot.com, which provides news, ticketing, merchandise and other club services.
