Sollentuna Fotbollsklubb, commonly known as Sollentuna FK, is a Swedish football club based in Sollentuna, north of Stockholm. The club was established in 2012 through the merger of five local football organisations: Edsbergs IF, Helenelunds IK, IFK Sollentuna, Kärrdals IF and Turebergs IF. Although the present club is relatively young, its constituent organisations provide the club with more than 300 years of combined football history. The five founding clubs are represented symbolically by the five pillars in the club crest. Sollentuna FK has developed into a large community football organisation serving players from young children through veteran football. The club states that it has approximately 3,700 active players and nearly 800 leaders, while its wider membership base includes players, leaders and supporting members. Its activities combine broad participation with advanced player development, allowing players to participate at recreational, competitive and elite-development levels. A significant part of the organisation is its academy programme. Sollentuna FK offers selected academy football from around the age of 13, with the stated objective of developing future elite players and supplying its senior men's and women's teams with players from its own system. The academy operates for both boys and girls and is part of the Swedish Elite Football (SEF) academy certification system. Several club players have also represented district and Swedish youth national teams. The club's senior men's team competes in Ettan Norra and plays its home matches at Sollentunavallen, while the club's main training activities are conducted at Edsbergs sportfält. The men's sporting strategy focuses strongly on young players and developing talent internally, with the ambition of eventually establishing the team in Superettan. Sollentuna FK has also achieved senior-level sporting success. The men's team won Division 2 Norra Svealand in 2016 and the women's team achieved promotion to Division 1 in 2018. In 2022, the women's team won the Victoria Cup, giving the club its first senior title. Beyond competitive football, the club places considerable emphasis on social impact and community development. Its stated vision for 2033 is “Sweden's best development environment,” supported by strategic priorities covering leaders, geographical teams, academy and youth teams, and senior men's and women's football.
