    About Us

The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), known in French as Union Royale Belge des Sociétés de Football-Association (URBSFA) and in Dutch as Koninklijke Belgische Voetbalbond (KBVB), is the national governing body for football in Belgium. Founded in 1895, it is responsible for the administrative and sporting organisation of Belgian football and is recognised by FIFA as Belgium’s member association within UEFA. The federation oversees and supports a broad football ecosystem covering the national teams, professional and amateur football, women’s football, youth football, futsal, disability football and esports.

The RBFA is one of Belgium’s largest sports federations, with more than half a million members and nearly 4,000 affiliated football clubs. In cooperation with its regional partners Voetbal Vlaanderen and the Association des Clubs Francophones de Football (ACFF), the federation organises approximately 12,000 matches every weekend. Its principal sporting ambassadors are the Belgian men’s national team, the Red Devils, and the Belgian women’s national team, the Red Flames.

The federation is headquartered in Tubize, where the Proximus Basecamp serves as the main workplace and training environment for the national teams and RBFA staff. The official RBFA website lists its headquarters at Rue de Bruxelles 480, 1480 Tubize, while FIFA independently confirms the same Tubize location and the federation’s official website.

Beyond national-team management, RBFA plays a central role in developing the Belgian game through competition organisation, regulations, refereeing, coaching education, grassroots football, player development, safeguarding and club support. Its national teams represent Belgium in FIFA and UEFA competitions, while the federation works with regional football bodies to maintain pathways from grassroots participation through elite performance. The RBFA therefore functions not simply as a national-team organisation but as the central coordinating and governing institution for football across Belgium.
