About Us

Middlesex Football Association, commonly known as Middlesex FA, is the not-for-profit governing body responsible for football across the county of Middlesex in England. Established in 1883, it is one of England’s county football associations and operates within the wider governance structure of The Football Association. Its role is to support, develop and govern football at grassroots level, serving affiliated clubs, leagues, players, coaches, referees and volunteers across the county. The organisation’s stated mission is to support, develop and govern the game of football in Middlesex, while its vision is to provide every person in Middlesex with the opportunity to become involved in football. Its work therefore extends well beyond administering competitions, encompassing participation, player and talent development, facilities, coaching, refereeing, safeguarding, inclusion and support for the county’s football workforce. Middlesex FA is responsible for administering county football competitions, including the Middlesex FA County Cups, while also supporting the affiliated football network throughout the region. Its development work covers a broad range of participation opportunities, including youth, adult, women's and girls' football, disability football and recreational formats. The association also works with clubs and other partners to improve training and playing facilities and to encourage sustainable community-based football provision. The association is headquartered at Rectory Park Football Facility on Ruislip Road in Northolt, Middlesex. Rectory Park serves as the organisation’s main base and is also a significant football and community facility. England Football lists Middlesex FA among England’s county football associations and confirms its current headquarters, contact details and leadership structure. Middlesex FA has also placed increasing emphasis on equality, diversity and inclusion, community participation and governance. Its current strategic priorities include ensuring that the organisation reflects its community, sustaining and increasing participation, supporting individuals into talent pathways, improving facilities through partnerships and recruiting and retaining a diverse football workforce. The association operates as a professional county football governing organisation while retaining its not-for-profit purpose. Its current LinkedIn profile identifies the organisation as a nonprofit with 11–50 employees and confirms its foundation year of 1883 and headquarters in Northolt. Through its governance, competitions, development programmes, facilities, education and participation initiatives, Middlesex FA plays a central role in organising and developing grassroots football throughout Middlesex and connecting local football with the national structure administered by The Football Association.
