    About Us

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is a professional football club based in Los Angeles, California, competing in Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was founded in 2014 and began MLS competition in 2018. LAFC was established with the ambition of creating a world-class football organisation representing the diversity and energy of Los Angeles, and it has quickly become one of the prominent clubs in American soccer. The club's ownership group includes leaders from entertainment, sports, technology, media and business. LAFC plays its home matches at BMO Stadium in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles. The stadium has a capacity of approximately 22,000 and was developed specifically as part of the club's broader investment in football infrastructure. LAFC also operates a dedicated training facility on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles. Sporting success came relatively quickly. LAFC won the MLS Supporters' Shield in 2019 and 2022, recognising the club with the best regular-season record in MLS. In 2022, LAFC achieved its most significant honour to date by winning the MLS Cup, defeating Philadelphia Union in the final after a dramatic penalty shootout. The club subsequently won the U.S. Open Cup in 2024, adding another major domestic trophy to its honours. LAFC has also established itself as a club with a strong international and community profile. Its sporting programme includes professional first-team football, player development and youth initiatives, while the organisation has invested substantially in community programmes throughout the Los Angeles region. The club's stated objective is not only to compete at the highest level but also to reflect the city's cultural diversity and strengthen connections between football and the local community. The organisation has continued to expand its football infrastructure and commercial operations, while maintaining a strong focus on supporter experience. Its LinkedIn profile identifies LAFC as a privately held spectator-sports organisation with 51–200 employees and headquarters in Los Angeles. The profile lists its principal office at 818 W 7th Street, Suite 1200, Los Angeles, California 90017.
