Kickstart Football Club (Kickstart FC) is a professional football club based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Founded in 2016 by Shekar Rajan and Laxman Bhattarai, the club has developed into one of Karnataka's prominent football organisations, with a strong focus on professional football, youth development, women's football and grassroots participation. The club's stated mission is to create a world-class football club representing the best of Indian football and contribute to India's ambition of reaching the FIFA World Cup. Kickstart FC fields men's, women's and youth teams across multiple age categories. Its academy pathway extends from U-7 through U-21, while its residential academy provides a structured environment for boys and girls aged 6–21. The academy's curriculum uses the club's 5S development model—Speed, Strength, Stamina, Skill and Spirit—and is delivered by AIFF-, AFC- and UEFA-licensed coaches. The men's team competes in the Karnataka State Football Association Super Division and has also participated in national-level competitions, including the I-League 3rd Division. The club's official records highlight its unbeaten KSFA Super Division championship in 2025, alongside previous BDFA Super Division runners-up finishes in 2019, 2021 and 2024 and the 2022 Puttaiah Memorial Cup victory. Women's football is a particularly important part of Kickstart FC's sporting identity. The club's women's team has been a dominant force in the Karnataka Women's League, winning the competition repeatedly, and finished as runners-up in the Indian Women's League in 2023. The club has also supplied players to Karnataka state teams and developed players who have progressed toward national-level football. Youth development is central to the organisation. Kickstart states that more than 400 young players train through its academy structure, while the AIFF officially lists Kickstart FC as a registered club and records its foundation date as 9 July 2016. The organisation also operates football facilities in Bengaluru, including Kickstart Football Arena locations in Kalyan Nagar and Kannuru, with facilities including football pitches, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy and other player-support services. Kickstart FC is headquartered in Bengaluru and is identified by LinkedIn as a privately held spectator-sports organisation with 51–200 employees.
