About Us

The Federación Venezolana de Fútbol (FVF) is the national governing body responsible for football in Venezuela. Headquartered in Caracas, the federation represents Venezuela within the international football structure and is recognised by FIFA as the country's official Member Association and as a member of CONMEBOL. The FVF's official website and FIFA both identify Jorge Giménez as the federation's president and confirm Caracas as its institutional base. The federation oversees and supports the development of football throughout Venezuela, including men's and women's football, youth football, futsal, beach soccer and national competitions. Its organisational responsibilities extend across competitions, player registrations, club licensing, refereeing, technical development, communications, marketing, commercial activities and institutional administration. The FVF describes its broader objective as developing Venezuelan football from grassroots level while supporting the advancement of players, coaches, referees and football administrators throughout the country. FIFA likewise recognises the FVF as the organisation responsible for Venezuela's national football structure and national teams. The federation administers Venezuela's international representative structure, including the senior men's national team and national youth teams, while also supporting women's football and other recognised forms of the game. FIFA records Venezuela's participation across men's and women's FIFA competitions, including senior World Cup qualifying, U-20 and U-17 tournaments, futsal and other international programmes. Infrastructure and institutional development are also important parts of the FVF's current strategy. In March 2025, the federation inaugurated a new headquarters in the Centro Comercial El Recreo complex in Caracas. Both the FVF and FIFA reported that the project was developed with FIFA Forward support, with FIFA providing USD 2 million toward the acquisition. The new facility was designed to expand administrative capacity and provide modern spaces for meetings, development activities and football-management operations. The FVF also continues to invest in grassroots development, youth competitions, coach and referee education and digital communication. In 2026 it introduced La Vinotinto Media, an official multimedia ecosystem centred particularly on YouTube and other digital platforms, intended to strengthen communication around Venezuelan football and the federation's sporting and institutional programmes.
