En Avant Guingamp is a professional French football club based in Guingamp, Brittany. Founded in 1912, the club has developed from a local sporting association into an established professional football organisation with men's football, women's football and a dedicated youth-development structure. LinkedIn identifies En Avant Guingamp as a professional Breton football club competing in Ligue 2 BKT, with headquarters in Guingamp and 51–200 employees. The club's official history states that En Avant was founded in 1912 through the initiative of secular teachers under the name “Société d’Éducation Physique En Avant.” Football quickly became the association's principal sporting activity, and the organisation subsequently became affiliated with the French Football Federation. En Avant Guingamp has achieved significant success despite being based in a relatively small Breton town. The club has won the Coupe de France twice, in 2009 and 2014. It also reached the Coupe de France final in 1997 and has competed in European competition, including the UEFA Europa League. The club's official honours record also lists the 1996 UEFA Intertoto Cup as a major achievement and a 2018–19 Coupe de la Ligue final appearance. Youth development is a central part of the club's identity. En Avant established its formal training centre in 1996 following its promotion to France's top division. Since then, more than 30 players developed through the centre have signed their first professional contracts with the club. The academy also produced Laurent Koscielny, the first player trained by En Avant to represent the French national team. The club combines football training with education for young players from approximately age 12 onwards. The organisation also operates women's football and continues to recruit and develop coaches for its women's teams and academy programmes. Current club communications show active recruitment for the 2026–27 season within both the academy and women's section. En Avant Guingamp maintains a substantial regional commercial and community network. Recent club communications report 280 partners, while the organisation continues to use its facilities and professional teams to engage supporters, businesses and young people across Brittany. The club's legal structure is recorded officially as En Avant de Guingamp, a French SA à conseil d’administration, with registered headquarters at 15 Boulevard Clémenceau, 22200 Guingamp.
