Dubai Irish Football Club

About Us

Dubai Irish Football Club is a community-focused football club based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with roots dating to 1997. The club describes itself as a competitive organisation representing more than 60 nationalities and providing a football pathway from grassroots participation through to semi-professional football. LinkedIn identifies Dubai Irish FC as a nonprofit sports organisation headquartered in Dubai and lists 1997 as its founding year. Independent community coverage also identifies the club as one of the long-established amateur football organisations in the UAE.

The club has developed a broad youth structure alongside its senior football programme. Its current programmes welcome boys and girls across multiple youth age groups and emphasise qualified coaching, player development, participation and a family-oriented community environment. For the 2026/27 season, the club has been actively recruiting youth players and states that fees are reinvested into the club and its players, reinforcing its nonprofit community model.

Dubai Irish FC has also developed a pathway toward higher-level football. The club obtained a UAE Football Association licence to compete in the Division 3 Pro League, creating a route from its established grassroots and amateur structure into organised senior football. Its first-team programme has subsequently operated within the UAE football league system, while the organisation continues to combine community football with more ambitious performance and player-development programmes.

The club's current football-development strategy includes a Professional Development Programme for players aged 18 and above. The 2026/27 programme offers four-week assessment, half-season and full-season options, with residential and non-residential pathways. Players train within the first-team environment under experienced coaching staff, with opportunities for performance analysis, individual development and progression toward professional football.

Dubai Irish FC therefore combines grassroots participation, youth development, women's and girls' football, community engagement and senior competitive football. Its international membership base, nonprofit structure and developing professional pathway position it as a distinctive football organisation within Dubai's increasingly diverse football ecosystem.
