    About Us

Dijon Football Côte-d'Or (DFCO), commonly known as Dijon FCO, is a professional French football club based in Dijon, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. The club was established in 1998 through the merger of Cercle Dijon Football and Dijon FC, creating the Dijon Football Côte-d'Or under the presidency of Bernard Gnecchi. The club's official history records 1998 as the foundation of the present DFCO, while its football heritage traces back to earlier Dijon-based clubs, including Cercle Laïque Dijonnais, founded in 1903, and Football Club Dijon, founded in 1938. DFCO began its history at the CFA level and achieved promotion to the Championnat National in 2000. In the 2003–04 season, the club reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, one of the most significant achievements in its early history. DFCO subsequently reached Ligue 2 and earned its first promotion to Ligue 1 at the conclusion of the 2015–16 season. The club competed in France's top division for five seasons before returning to Ligue 2. The club's current home is Stade Gaston-Gérard in Dijon. Its organisation includes men's professional football, women's football and a youth-development structure. DFCO's official website currently reports Ligue 2 BKT activity for the 2026–27 season and also publishes information concerning its academy, women's section and other football-development programmes. The club's academy is an important part of its sporting structure, with men's and women's youth teams competing in national competitions and development programmes. Current club recruitment information shows activities involving the women's U19, U15 and U13 teams and the men's academy structure. DFCO also maintains a significant regional business and community network. The club describes itself as a major football organisation in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and reports a network of hundreds of business partners. Its commercial activities include hospitality, events, partnerships and digital marketing programmes. The club's official digital presence includes Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social-media platforms. DFCO has publicly identified these channels through its official materials and maintains an active LinkedIn presence for club, business and recruitment communications.
