Leicester Trial For Man City and Villa Youth Stars

Leicester City had four players uncontracted when their Under-21s played to a 1-1 draw with Barwell on Tuesday evening.

Barwell, who is in the seventh division of English football welcomed a young City team for the official opening ceremony of their new 4G pitch. Leicester sent a strong under-21 team with Ben Nelson, Sammy Braybrooke & Will Alves being the notable absentees.

Chelsea defender Luke Badley-Morgan appears to be on trial with Aston Villa centre-half Paul Appiah, who also played 45 minutes against Notts County on Saturday afternoon. Appiah was joined by Deniche Hill (18-year-old Bermuda national) in his second City shirt runout.

Suphanat Mueanta, a 19-year-old Buriram U striker, was also part of the Leicester line-up. After being invited by Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, the teenager is a Thai international. He is currently training with the club.

He is joined by his Buriram United team-mates Supachai Charided (23), and Rattanakorn Malikami (24), although neither of them were present at Barwell. They arrived in Buriram on June 28th and will be returning to Buriram after a month. Because of regulations regarding work permits, they are unlikely to sign with Leicester. Thanawat Suengchitthawon, their Thailand teammate, was able to sign in 2020 for City because he is French citizen.
