Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Women’s Team at Watford Football Club. We are currently looking to recruit a Team Psychologist on a part-time basis to provide specialist psychological support to players and staff in the Women’s Team, enhancing performance, wellbeing, and personal development in line with WSL requirements and best practice.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business.
Applicants should ideally live local to Watford and London Colney or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit and ideally have experience working within a similar role.
You Must Have
- Postgraduate qualification in Sport Psychology or a related discipline.
- HCPC registration or BPS accreditation with Chartered Status and working towards HCPC registration.
- Experience delivering psychological support within sport or performance environments.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, duty of care, and confidentiality.
- A willingness to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays when required.
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role.
- Understanding of the Club's commitment to EDI & Safeguarding.
Desirable
- Experience working in elite or professional football.
- Experience working in women’s sport.
- Experience of working with multidisciplinary performance teams.
- Knowledge of FA/WSL frameworks relating to player welfare and wellbeing.
