Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Women’s Team at Watford Football Club. We are currently looking to recruit a Team Physiotherapist, who will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical and physiotherapy support to the Women’s Team, ensuring player health, injury management, and rehabilitation are in line with WSL requirements and best practice.
The role will support player availability, welfare, and long-term development through proactive injury prevention, effective rehabilitation, and close integration with the multidisciplinary performance team.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business.
Applicants should ideally live local to Watford and London Colney or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit and ideally have experience working within a similar role.
You Must Have
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration.
- CSP membership.
- Pitch-side trauma qualification (i.e. Level 5 ATMMiF or equivalent).
- Medical Indemnity Insurance.
- Experience working with athletes or within a high-performance sporting environment.
- A strong understanding of injury rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols.
- A willingness to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel to various locations due to the demands of the role.
- Understanding of the Club's commitment to EDI & Safeguarding.
You Would Ideally Have (But Not Essential)
- Experience working in women’s football.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary performance team.
- Manual therapy or additional rehabilitation qualifications.
