Role Overview
The Staffordshire FA Veterans League is seeking a reliable and proactive League Co-ordinator to oversee the day-to-day administration and operations of the league, which features over 42 teams across six divisions. This role is pivotal to the smooth running of fixtures and communication with teams and officials.
The Co-ordinator will be the main point of contact for all teams, primarily through WhatsApp, and will manage fixtures and league information using the FA’s Competition Portal and Full-Time System. You will also be responsible for ensuring referees are appointed and matches are played in line with league regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Communication: Act as the first point of contact for all teams via WhatsApp throughout the week, providing support, updates, and addressing queries.
• Fixture Administration: Administer weekly fixtures using the FA Competition Portal and Full-Time System.
• Referee Appointments: Ensure referees are assigned to all fixtures; resolve any shortfalls or changes as needed.
• Matchday Support: Be available on Fridays to provide real-time assistance to teams and referees, including managing last-minute changes.
• On-Site Visits: Occasionally attend matches at the designated venues to support and monitor operations.
• Problem Solving: Proactively manage unfulfilled fixtures, trying to rearrange league fixtures, or alternatively arranging friendlies for teams left without a fixture.
• Rule Enforcement: Uphold league rules and standards across all interactions and decisions.
