Description

Who We Are

Manchester City is a football club rooted in East Manchester, with a story that began in 1880 and continues to grow today. Built on resilience, belief and togetherness, success on the pitch is driven by the moments and memories shared with millions of Fans around the world. City is known for its bravery, its determination to the very end and its strong connection to where we come from. With Mancunian roots and a global outlook, we are shaped by our Fans and driven by a long-term vision, from developing future talent to supporting the communities we call home. Together, we are creating the next chapter, the City way.

Within our Digital team, we support the creation and delivery of video content across our studios and wider channels. The team works closely with producers, studio managers, editors and engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality output that reflects the Club’s standards.

The Role

You will play a hands-on part in the day-to-day running of the studios, helping deliver smooth live and pre-recorded productions from setup through to strike. Working closely with the Studio Lead, you will help make sure each shoot is prepared properly, operated professionally and supported by the right kit, systems and processes.

Your work will span camera operation, VT playback and ingest, sound support, autocue and editing, so this is a role for someone who enjoys variety and can move confidently between technical and creative tasks. You will also help maintain equipment, keep studio trackers up to date, manage kit between spaces and support testing and innovation as new workflows are introduced.

Alongside the practical production work, you will play an important part in keeping the studios organised, reliable and ready for use. You will work with colleagues across production, engineering and wider Digital teams to troubleshoot issues, support continuity and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused studio environment.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in a multi-camera studio or live broadcast environment.

Experience operating autocue systems in live or recorded productions.

Working knowledge of non-linear editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar.

Ability to operate studio cameras and support basic camera maintenance and setup.

Comfortable working with studio audio, playback, VT ingest and media management workflows.

Excellent teamwork, adaptability and attention to detail, with a calm and practical approach under pressure.

Why Choose Us

Working at Manchester City means being supported to do your best, with the flexibility and encouragement to look after your wellbeing. We are committed to helping our people learn, grow and thrive in a culture built on collaboration, openness and hard work.

As part of our team, you will receive 26 days’ annual leave plus a day off for your birthday, private healthcare and dental cover, and an annual discretionary bonus. You will also have access to a Health Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 GP support, and a company pension and life assurance.
