The Department 

Aston Villa Football Club has established itself as a Premier League, Europe League and Women’s Super League Club with Villa Park hosting world class talent. The Club’s Security and Matchday Safety Department are vital to the Club in ensuring that our people and premises are safe and protected. We provide exceptional service across all Club sites, and the department is now expanding to ensure we can continue to deliver excellence and keeping the Club running smoothly with confidence.

The Role 

You will play a pivotal part in the safe and successful delivery of matchdays, major events, and daily stadium operations. As a key member of the Security and Matchday Safety team, you will be at the centre of co-ordinating workforce planning, staffing operations, financial administration, accreditation processes, and resource management. Working closely with colleagues across the Club and external staffing providers, you will help ensure that every event is supported by the right people, in the right place, at the right time, contributing directly to an outstanding operational experience for supporters, visitors, and stakeholders.

You will oversee the accreditation processes, support recruitment and onboarding activities, co-ordinate training compliance and manage the department's uniforms, PPE, radios and operational equipment. Ensuring staff are appropriately trained, accredited and equipped will be essential to maintaining operational readiness and delivering a safe and seamless experience for colleagues, supporters and visitors.

You will help embed a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, ensuring that critical systems, procedures and operational expertise are documented, understood and supported across the wider team.

The Person

You will have proven experience in staffing coordination, workforce planning, operations administration or a similar role. You must be a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional standards of administration, co-ordination and customer service.

You will be confident working with data, systems and reports, using your analytical skills to identify trends, monitor performance and support informed decision-making. You will need to be able to maintain accurate records, manage complex schedules and oversee a range of administrative and financial processes efficiently and professionally. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are key to success in this role. You will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels, external suppliers and a diverse workforce, acting as a reliable point of contact and building positive working relationships across the department.

You must be able to work flexible hours as required, including matchdays, evenings, weekends and stadium events and have the ability to travel between our Club Sites – particularly Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Villa Park.
