Description
Sheffield United Football Club is seeking a talented coach to join our Pre-Academy Development Centre. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for player development and have a proven track record of identifying and nurturing young talent. Strong reporting skills are essential for accurately monitoring player progress and providing valuable insights to the wider recruitment team.
Schedule: Evenings of Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Expected Interview Process:
- 1st Stage - Getting to know you and competency Based questions (Online or in-person).
- 2nd Stage - Practical delivery.
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high quality coaching sessions to the players within the Pre-Academy Structure.
- Complete assessments and reviews of players in the system as directed by the Centre Coordinator.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive and up-to date record of the progress of players within the Pre-Academy Centre ensuring this information is kept up to date throughout the course of their time with the Pre-Academy centre and treated confidentially.
- Implement the Club's coaching philosophy into player assessments, demonstrating the key principles and expectations within individual player reports.
- Demonstrate a holistic understanding of Pre-academy's contribution to the overall Academy structure and recruitment and selection process.
- Attend CPD events as directed by the Head of Local Recruitment.
- Attend Zone meetings as directed by the Centre Coordinator.
Club Wide Responsibilities:
- To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.
- To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.
- To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.
- To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.
- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- UEFA C Coaching License.
- FA Safeguarding Children certification.
- FA Emergency First Aid in Football certification.
- Completion of an enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Desirable Criteria for the Role:
- To hold the UEFA B License/ UEFA B Goalkeeping License.
- FA Talent ID Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification.
