Sheffield United Football Club are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join the Club's creative team, helping to bring the Sheffield United brand to life across a wide range of digital and print platforms.
Working across multiple departments, the successful candidate will create engaging visual content that supports marketing campaigns, matchdays, commercial activity, retail, fan engagement and the Club's men's, women's and Academy teams. From developing creative concepts through to final delivery, the role offers the opportunity to shape compelling designs that connect with supporters while maintaining the highest standards of creativity, consistency and brand identity.
We are looking for a highly creative designer with a strong eye for detail, excellent technical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be confident managing multiple projects, interpreting creative briefs and contributing fresh ideas that help evolve the Club's visual identity.
Role Responsibilities:
- Create a range of graphics to a high level that aligns with Sheffield United's brand guidelines and objectives, to support the club across print and digital platforms.
- Liaise with and work across multiple departments, including commercial, retail, ticketing, HR, men's and women's first teams, academy and fan engagement to provide creative design solutions.
- Support the delivery of club marketing campaigns, matchday graphics and digital advertising.
- Work alongside the Creative Design Manager to develop the club's style and brand identity.
- Take ownership of design projects, from initial concepts through to completion.
- Create and update club-branded templates using Canva.
- Support the creation and approval of motion graphics for the club's LED displays and stadium screens.
- Liaise with external print suppliers to produce artwork for signage and other printed materials to a high standard.
- Maintain high standards of creativity and attention to detail, developing content that connects with the audience.
- Manage workload effectively, delivering projects to club deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuously look to design trends and contribute fresh creative ideas to the department.
- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
Club Wide responsibilities:

- Carry out and actively participate in all training requests as directed by the Club, including mandatory health and safety training, emergency procedures, fire safety, manual handling, safeguarding, and role-specific safety instruction.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
- Highly proficient in using the Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
- Proficient in Adobe After Effects, with experience creating motion graphics.
- Proficient in using Canva to create and update club-branded templates.
- Experience designing for print, digital, social media and marketing campaigns.
- Excellent typography, layout and photo editing skills.
- A high degree of attention to detail and creativity.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret briefs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Confident working reactively in a fast-paced environment and delivering to tight deadlines.
- A great understanding of current design and sports industry trends.
- Previous experience working within a sports, entertainment, agency or similar environment.
