The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Part-Time Goalkeeping Coach to join our Elite Academy coaching team.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the development of our academy goalkeepers, delivering a high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeping programme in line with the club’s playing philosophy and individual player development plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious coach to work within a professional academy environment and contribute to the development of young players aspiring to progress within the game.

Closing date is Friday 11 September at 5pm. 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate goalkeeping sessions.
• Support the technical, tactical, physical and psychological development of academy goalkeepers.
• Work closely with the Academy Director, Head of Goalkeeping and academy coaching staff.
• Provide individual feedback and contribute to player reviews and development plans.
• Attend relevant training sessions, fixtures and meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate player records and contribute to the academy’s monitoring and reporting processes.
• Promote a positive, professional and player-centred environment.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with the club’s safeguarding, child protection and academy policies.

Essential Requirements

• UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence Qualification.
• Experience of coaching goalkeepers within a football environment.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of modern goalkeeping techniques and player development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary coaching team.
• A commitment to continued professional development.
• Valid safeguarding and PVG/Disclosure certification, or willingness to obtain these prior to commencing employment.

Desirable

• Experience of working within a professional football academy or elite youth environment.
• Additional coaching qualifications.
• Experience working with goalkeepers across a range of academy age groups.
• Knowledge of individual player development and performance analysis.
