Description
The Part-Time Foundation Phase Coach (U9–U10) at Oxford United will play a key role in supporting the development of young players through the delivery of engaging, high-quality coaching sessions. The role focuses on nurturing each player’s technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social growth within a fun, safe, and challenging learning environment.
The coach will help foster a genuine love for the game, encouraging players to express themselves and reach their individual potential. Working collaboratively within the academy’s multidisciplinary team, the coach will plan, deliver, and review sessions aligned with the club’s coaching philosophy and the principles of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
In addition, the role involves contributing to the holistic development of players both on and off the pitch, while promoting positive behaviours, a strong work ethic, and high standards of professionalism.

Location: Oxford United Training Centre/Oxford City Stadium
Hours: Evening & Weekend (8 hours)
FT / PT: PT – Fixed Contract
Salary: £600 per month (10 months)
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for planning and delivering safe, age-appropriate, and individual-specific training in line with the academy coaching programme and playing philosophy, using a games-based learning approach.
- To work within a multidisciplinary team (Coaches, Performance Analyst, Medical, Recruitment, S&C, Education, Player Care, etc.) for the individual player’s benefit.
- To be responsible for updating and maintaining the players' performance clock on the Kitman Labs system. This includes uploading sessions, player attendance, match day game time, individual learning plan feedback, and writing performance reviews throughout the season.
- To consistently give appropriate feedback to players during sessions and games based on their individual learning plan.
- To always maintain a professional standard while representing the Club.

- To be responsible for maintaining the equipment designated for your age group.
- To attend all training and match days for your designated group.
- To participate in ongoing CPD opportunities provided by the Club.
- To understand and work on your own individual development plans throughout the season.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential
- UEFA B Licence
- FA Youth Award
- FA Safeguarding Children
- Full DBS
- Current FA Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAIF) qualification
- Available to work flexibly (including evenings and weekends)
- Driving Licence
Desirable
- Experience/knowledge of Hudl and Kitman Labs system
- Understanding of EPPP rules and regulations
- Previous experience of working within an EPPP academy
