Responsibilities:

 

  • Scout and assess players live and via video within your assigned remit.
  • Produce regular, detailed, and objective scouting reports on potential targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and positional player lists using club-approved data management platforms.
  • Attend matches, tournaments, and competitions as assigned to monitor individuals or teams.
  • Liaise regularly with the scouting and recruitment staff and support projects as directed.
  • Actively participate in weekly scouting meetings to review progress, share insights, and align on upcoming schedules.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment / Data Analysis team to enhance the scouting process through data and video.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
  • Upholding and promoting the Club policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 

 

  • Previous experience in a professional scouting role within an elite football environment.
  • Strong knowledge of player assessment through live and video scouting.
  • High levels of organisational skills, ability to plan and book travel whilst working within budget.
  • Proficient in using video and scouting software (e.g. Wyscout, Hudl).
  • Excellent verbal communication and written reporting skills.
  • Positive mindset with the willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
  • High level of self-discipline and time management skills to complete tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to travel regularly, including evenings and weekends.
  • FA Talent Identification Qualification (desirable Level 3 or higher).
  • Full, clean driving licence.
