Description

About the Role -
The Facilities Development Officer will play a key role in improving the quality of football facilities across Lincolnshire, with the ambition of ensuring every affiliated football fixture is played on a good-quality pitch.

Working alongside clubs, leagues, local authorities, schools, national partners, and facility providers, you will support the development of better playing environments by increasing engagement with facility improvement programmes, supporting funding applications, and helping clubs access investment opportunities.

The role will focus on improving grass pitch quality, increasing participation in initiatives such as Pitch Power and the Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund, and providing tailored support to clubs and organisations looking to enhance their facilities.

Key Responsibilities -
Support clubs and facility providers to improve the quality and sustainability of football pitches
Increase engagement with Pitch Power and grass pitch improvement programmes
Provide guidance and support to Football Foundation funding applicants
Monitor and evaluate funded facility projects and share positive case studies
Develop strong relationships with clubs, leagues, local authorities, schools, and strategic partners
Support local playing pitch strategies and future facility investment planning
Promote national funding programmes and facility improvement opportunities
Support clubs with sustainable and environmentally responsible facility improvements
Provide advice and guidance on funding opportunities through the Lincolnshire FA Grants and Funding Guide
Promote FA technical guidance and best practice across grassroots football

We are looking for someone who has:
Experience and understanding of sports or football development
Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing projects and delivering against objectives
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Experience using data and insight to inform decision-making
Knowledge of grassroots football structures and community sport environments
A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting clubs and volunteers
Experience of facilities development, funding programmes, safeguarding in sport, or working with volunteers would be desirable.
