Description
Are you passionate about empowering volunteers and making a difference in women's football? The FA is recruiting two Casual Volunteer Coordinators to support our Women's Pyramid Network. With dedicated roles focusing on either club or league volunteers, these positions offer the opportunity to help grow, diversify and support a thriving volunteer community while working alongside teams across The FA.
Both roles are casual positions and require evening/weekend availability, as dictated by the demands of the role.
What will you do?
Raise Awareness & Boost Representation
- Facilitate campaigns that engage and support the sustainable growth of female volunteers in competitive football operations.
- Support Clubs & Leagues to engage and build connections with potential volunteers through education, faith and community groups.
- Understand volunteering motivations to enable the effective implementation of FA volunteer development interventions.
Provide Learning & Development
- Coordinate and deliver FA learning and development opportunities to volunteers and potential volunteers, including Females into Volunteering events, the FA Club Maker, Run Football - Club Edition, Run Football - League Edition and Club Leadership modules.
- Support the satisfaction of volunteers by helping clubs and leagues to meet their motivations.
Build Capacity in Leagues
- Support Women's Pyramid clubs and leagues to establish their volunteering needs, and create a plan to retain, recruit and reward their volunteers.
- Work closely across divisions within the FA to provide wider support to the Regional Leagues and Women's National League where necessary.
- Help clubs and leagues to establish a Volunteer Officer to manage their volunteer plan.
- Review their volunteering culture and help them to better represent their local community.
- Support Regional Leagues to comply with the League Code of Governance.
- Support Clubs to comply with WNL Minimum Standards.
Additional responsibilities
- Connect with, work alongside and help inform the activity of FA-funded networks to help connect a diverse range of volunteers with leagues and their clubs.
- To meet the evolving needs of the FA's Equal Opportunities objectives to provide females with a greater breadth and better access to opportunities within the women's football pyramid.
- Promote England Football Family membership, the Thank You Campaign and Grassroots Awards to help embed volunteer recognition.
- Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

Essential for the role:
Demonstrable experience in:
- Volunteer retention, recruitment and recognition plans.
- The barriers affecting female volunteers.
- Inclusion, equality, anti-discrimination and safeguarding.
- The structure and partner organisations within football locality.
- The Women's Football Pyramid.
- Project management.
- Mapping programmes to support strategic and logistical planning.
Beneficial to have:
- Proven track record of Club/League development.
- Relationship Building.
- Good IT skills across a number of platforms.
