Description

Position: Casual Matchday Media Assistant
Department: Communications
Report to: Communications Officer
Location: Ainslie Park, Edinburgh, EH5 2HF and away fixture venues.
Salary: £13.45 (current living wage) per hour.
Hours: Zero-hours contract. You will be offered work when available and as per the Women’s First Team fixture schedule which will normally be Sunday afternoons.
Closing Date: 16 July 2026 - Close of play

We’re looking for a casual Matchday Media Assistant who can help bring our Women’s Team fixtures to life across our social media channels. If you know your way around matchday content, have a passion for women’s football, and understand Hearts and the Scottish game, we’d love to hear from you!

Casual Matchday Media Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide matchday coverage for the Women’s First Team, with a focus on social media output. This includes posting team announcement graphics, creating short-form build-up videos, sharing live match updates on X, publishing goal, half-time and full-time graphics, conducting on-camera interviews with the head coach, and drafting match reports for the Club website.
• Support media liaison with external press on an ad hoc basis, including post-match interview requests where required.
• Any other media related duties required for the Women’s Team on matchdays.

Essential Experience, Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience in a matchday media related role.
• Currently studying or recently graduated from a media related degree discipline.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
• A passion for women’s football and an understanding of the Scottish game.
• Able to evidence Legal Right to Work in the UK.
• Available to work weekends and evenings as required, matches normally played Sunday afternoons.
